The college cited rising operating costs and a declining number who use the course for its decision to close down the course.
“While this is a difficult decision given the history of this course, we realize that the golf course is not part of our mission. We appreciate your past patronage and understanding,” a message from the school partly reads in the course’s humble little pro shop.

Very pleasant surprise. The greens were areated and sanded, but should be in great shape now. For those wanting to work on their game this is a good choice. Have played several courses in Houston while visiting, this one is a great choice without spending a lot of bucks.

Challenging public golf course which is part of the neighboring San Jacinto Community College campus. Nine holes with several water hazards and opportunities to go out of bounds on to neighboring streets. Fairly well maintained and economical. The course length is longer than most nine hole courses. Clubhouse facilities are minimal. Otherwise, a real bargain.
